THE CHALLENGE OF CHANGE NOTES- Part One

 

Change: to become different: to make (someone or something) different: to become something else

 

• You are in charge of your own TRANSFORMATION. 

 

• Transformation is a result of your willingness to ascribe to a certain level of discomfort, unlearning and learning, discipline, and decisions. 

​

 

Transformation is designed to DISRUPT anything that you have CONFORMED to that does not align with the DNA given to you by God. 

 

God is always concerned with the final destination. So, His instructions will always lead us step by step to the final image He has planned. 

 

Jeremiah 18:1-6- The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying, Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words. Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

 

PRAYER IS THE ONLY THING THAT CAN SHOW YOU THE IMAGE YOU SHOULD BECOME. 

 

1 Corinthians 2:9-11- But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 

 

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

 

SPIRIT-LED INSTRUCTIONS WILL SYSTEMATICALLY LEAD YOU TO THE MATURE STAGE OF BECOMING. 

 

Genesis 12:1-4- Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. 

 

So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.

 

WHENEVER GOD HAS PURPOSED TO DEVELOP YOU, HE WILL PUT A DEMAND ON YOUR OBEDIENCE. 

 

1 Samuel 10:5-6- After that thou shalt come to the hill of God, where is the garrison of the Philistines: and it shall come to pass, when thou art come thither to the city, that thou shalt meet a company of prophets coming down from the high place with a psaltery, and a tabret, and a pipe, and a harp, before them; and they shall prophesy: And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

 

SIMPLY BEING CHOSEN DOES NOT GUARANTEE TRANSFORMATION. YOUR OBEDIENCE TO HEARING INSTRUCTION DOES. 

 

John 2:1-11- And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there: And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece. Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it. When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

 

THEY HAD THE POTS AND THEY HAD THE WATER, BUT IT WAS JESUS' INSTRUCTIONS THAT GAVE THEM THE REVELATION ON WHAT TO DO WITH BOTH. 

 

2 Peter 1:3-4- According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto LIFE AND GODLINESS, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

 

TRANSFORMATION ISN'T REAL UNTIL YOU HEAR INSTRUCTIONS THAT ARE BOTH SPIRITUAL AND NATURAL. 

 

THE PROCESS OF TRANSFORMATION IS ACTIVATED BY YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE NEED FOR IT. 

 

Hebrews 8:6-8-But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

 

For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

 

Your HONESTY is what UNLOCKS the DOOR for CHANGE! 

 

Isaiah 6:1-8- In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple. Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. And one cried unto another, and said,

Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.

 

And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.

 

Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts. Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: And he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged. Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
